Calling All Cavalcadians!
It’s too bad our website is still on the fritz, but hopefully we can still muster The Cavalcadium to promote our new show!
We have a free show poster pdf for you to enjoy and use to spread the word about February 16th and the Steam Powered Giraffe show!
Our request is for you to download and print it out- and advertise! If you’re in Southern California, you can ask store managers nicely if you can hang a poster in their window, or stop by the local community bulletin board- whatever you choose to do just be respectful and classy robot enthusiasts!
We’re hoping to get the local San Diego fanbase even more posters soon so we can help stimulate a street team or fan meetup.
This show is a big undertaking for us- Its one of the fabled local shows that SPG has put on for years. Out of our own pockets. The last time we did something of this size was Clockwork Vaudeville- and while this show isn’t a theatrical setting- it’s a much larger concert venue (can fit 1,000 people) and even moreso than Clockwork…there’s a lot of investment on our parts to make it work.
That’s why we need your help! Queen Bee’s has been working with us to expand and improve the shows we do with them- you wanted more ventilation, more space, more chairs, more comfort- and this is one of the ideas we’ve been playing around with to give that to you. If it proves a win, we have some great ideas for future shows utilizing similar venues!
To make this show even more worth the while, besides the continual evolution of the new SPG act, we’re hopefully going to be bringing back our show raffles- I’m donating some expensive art, some one-on-one with the band members…maybe even a date with Michael Reed if I can find enough duck tape and a car with a large trunk.
It’s also going to be a two set show with intermission, food, and lots of tables and chairs in the back- so you’ll be comfortable and have food available to you…or Gram Grams…y’know, ‘cause she doesn’t know why you’re into this stuff, but give her a nice table and chair and a ginger ale and she’ll start to bop her head to the beat like the old people in commercials.
If you are local and want to help- please don’t hesitate to shoot me a message or take initiative to promote the show: we apologize the fan forums are down right now, but hopefully we can still muster a force to make this show a success!
